High Visibility Clothing for Aviation
The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) does not directly regulate the use of high-visibility (hi-vis) clothing on airside or aprons. However, it mandates compliance with ICAO Annex 14 and requires airports to maintain safety management systems (SMS) in line with Regulation (EU) No 139/2014, which includes ensuring personnel safety during airside operations.
Reasons for Hi-Vis Clothing
- Visibility for Safety: Ensures personnel are clearly visible to drivers of ground vehicles and aircraft, especially in low light or adverse weather conditions.
- Minimizing Collisions: Reduces the risk of accidents with moving vehicles, equipment, and aircraft on aprons, taxiways, and runways.

Delivery Timeline

Return and Exchange
Return Eligibility
Customers have a 14-day cooling-off period in accordance with European consumer protection laws. Returns must be initiated within this timeframe.
Non-Returnable Items
- Hosiery, worn or washed clothing, and customized or embroidered garments are not eligible for return.
- Items must be unworn, unused, in original packaging, with tags attached.
Return Process
- Step 1: Send an email to info@pilot-crewstore.com to request a return.
- Step 2: Await approval and return instructions from our team.
- Step 3: Ship the item back to the address provided.
- Step 4: Upon receipt and inspection of the returned item, the refund will be processed within 10 business days.
Exchange Process
- Step 1: If you wish to exchange an item for a different size or color, submit a new order directly on our website.
- Step 2: Follow the standard return process to send back the original item for a refund.
- Step 3: Refunds for the returned item will be issued within 10 business days after inspection.

General Delivery Terms
- Items in stock will be shipped either the same day, or the next business day.
- Your order will be delivered Monday to Friday. The time of delivery depends on the country in which the delivery takes place and carrier used.
- The goods must be signed for upon receipt. It does not necessarily need to be signed by you. People at the delivery address (e.g. a family member, colleague, receptionist, etc.) may sign for the receipt with binding effect on you according to carrier procedures.
- The Pilot & Crew Store reserves the right to choose the delivery carrier. The carrier used depends on the country of destination. All International orders outside the EU will be shipped by UPS.
- The carrier will usually keep the goods for up to 7 days before returning them to us as undelivered.
- Please note that the risk of loss of or damage to the goods passes to you after delivery. If the package appears to be damaged upon receipt, please contact us immediately.
Separate deliveries
If your order consists of multiple goods, we reserve the right to make separate deliveries. Separate deliveries may be necessary if certain goods are delayed or out of stock at the time of order. You will be informed if your order is subject to separate deliveries. You will not be charged with additional delivery costs for separate deliveries.
